Barcelona News Transfer: Last week as reported by Marca, Barcelona fans were delighted when president Laporta revealed that the talks have progressed to offer a new deal to Gavi. But he had another negative news, and that is regarding Ousmane Dembele.
The French winger’s contract dilemma has not yet been solved and there has been no movement in that deal. The player and his agent want a new improved deal. But Barcelona’s present financial condition doesn’t let them accept the demands so easily.
Months back, the Catalan giants had already offered a deal to Dembele but he has been rejecting it ever since. It has been the fourth time that the club has put up the offer on the table for Dembele. But the player’s agent is not happy with the club’s salary demands.
(🌕) Dembélé will NOT renew if the proposal he has is the last one — this is the message from those close to him. His entourage also says he can still renew provided Barcelona offers new terms, but the club has no intention of making a new offer. @santiovalle #Transfers 🇫🇷🚨 pic.twitter.com/pOT1wFcXvh

Ousmane Dembele signed for Barcelona in 2017 for a huge fee of around £105m. The former Borussia Dortmund winger was never able to establish his name at the Camp Nou.
The fans and the club’s management are already frustrated by his attitude, injury issues, and lack of passion. Xavi tried to bring out the best in him but he has been decent.
However, he was still able to bring in 13 assists to his name last season which was the highest among his teammates.
Barcelona News Transfer: What’s Next For Ousmane Dembele and Barcelona?
The club and the player have been having a broken relationship due to a lack of cooperation. It certainly looks like the player is no longer interested in staying at Barcelona and fighting for his place.
Dembele’s contract will expire on June 30 and there is still nothing discussed yet. He has been busy posting pictures on Instagram of him cycling and enjoying the luxurious resorts.
But, these kinds of stuff will never solve the contract crises between them. If they fail to find a common ground before June 30, then Barcelona will lose him for free.
Currently, Chelsea is interested in signing the Frenchman this summer. His former manager Thomas Tuchel wants to manage him again and help him bring back his old form. It would be a gift for him if he can get him for absolutely zero cost.
Whereas for Barcelona it means that they have suffered yet another major loss in the transfer market.
