Willian Confirms Arsenal Exit After He Alters His Instagram Bio

Willian's new destination

It seems that Arsenal has entered into a vortex of entropy that simply doesn’t intend on relenting. After a couple of woeful starts to the Premier League campaign, losing the opener to a newly promoted Brentford and the following encounter against European champions, Chelsea, too many questions were already asked and it seems that Arteta didn’t have an answer for the same.

Things seemed to calm down to a transitory point where Arsenal managed to bag a comfortable win against West Brom in the EFL Cup as the Gunners registered a 6-0 victory. This can herald a major overhaul in the team’s mindset as they head to the battle of the league.

However, a new piece of an altercation that has rocked the Emirates is the outgoing Willian who has evidently made things crystal clear by deleting Arsenal’s name from his Insta handle. There was already too much turmoil surrounding the Brazilian midfielder who made a switch from Chelsea. Sadly, Arteta couldn’t conjure a place for the midfielder in his plans.

After spending seven long years at Stamford Bridge that failed to win him silverware, he chose to join the Gunners despite interest from several other European clubs. The blistering midfielder fell out of favour at Emirates and dropped below Emile Smith-Rowe and Bukayo Saka in the contention to starting eleven.

He came in for three years at the Emirates but it seems like he wants out even before he has reached half the span of his contract. Sadly, for Willian who earns £2,00,000 per week, no other clubs have shown interest in him and he may very well be headed towards Corinthians.

Arsenal may lose Willian to Corinthians

Earlier this week, in an interview with Willian’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, he was heard quoting, “We’re looking forward to making this happen. For me, it’s very important to help as much as possible.”

However, if there is one thing that has been confirmed that is the exit of Willian as Arsenal’s name no longer appears on his Instagram bio. Willian’s dad told Arena SBT, “There are things that money doesn’t buy. Playing for Corinthians is priceless. Today, they could afford it. Corinthians are cleaning up the squad and two, three players who leave already pay for it, even because William would come for free.”

He concluded by saying, “He’s really not happy, otherwise he wouldn’t want to leave. He has proposals from Europe, but it’s no secret that we want him to end his career at Corinthians. Today, everything depends on Corinthians making the proposal and Arsenal releasing him. If it depended on my taste, he’d go back to Corinthians, wear the 10! But he’s a professional, and he knows about his career.”
