According to recent reports, Arsenal’s former manager, Arsene Wenger, is set to return to management for the first time since he left The Gunners. After managing the club for over two decades, Arsene decided to leave the club as he bid adieu and left a spot that will be hard to fill for years to come.
A manager like Wenger was one in a million for Arsenal. His relationship with the club, the players, and the fans was truly one of a kind. While Arsenal fans miss him today too, they breathe a sigh of relief as reports emerging from France state that Arsene Wenger is set to return to management.
The former manager is now a pundit on BeINsports and is frequently seen during Champions League as well as Premier League games. He is also the director of football development at FIFA and has made some significant changes in the course of his tenure.
A recent report from BeINsports has mentioned that Wenger will return to the sidelines once again. He is set to appear as the manager on two occasions in the coming months to take charge of a team in a charity match and once in a friendly.
Arsene Wenger will first manage a charity team tomorrow in a tournament which is organized by the former Chelsea striker, Didier Drogba. The game will be played in Marseille’s home ground on 13th October.
Next up, Arsene will manage two Saudi Arabian clubs, Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr in a friendly match where they will go up against Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint-Germain. Although, the date of both these matches is yet to be confirmed.
Can this be Arsene Wenger’s long-awaited return to management, or will this be just another one-off thing? Only time will tell.
