‘He would be feeling a little bit disrespected there’-Rio Ferdinand reveals why Casmeiro might feel disrespected at Manchester United

Rio Ferdinand, a Manchester United veteran, is of the opinion that Casemiro may feel insulted since he has not been given a genuine opportunity to demonstrate what he can do for the club. Ferdinand feels that Casemiro may feel that he has been mistreated because of this. The former superstar at Real Madrid has only played for the Red Devils on six occasions, with only one of those games coming as a starter.

Casemiro was acquired by Manchester United in the summer for a fee of £70 million, and ever since then, supporters and observers of the club have been puzzling about why he hasn’t been used in more games.

The 30-year-old forward has only appeared six times for the Red Devils, and all four of his Premier League games have come from the substitute’s bench. In addition to this, the midfielder has only started one game for the club, and it was in the Europa League. This fact has surprised a lot of people.

The fact that Manchester United still hasn’t found its footing in terms of consistency is all the more puzzling in light of the recent 6-3 defeat the team suffered at the hands of Manchester City.

Rio Ferdinand has revealed that the 30-year-old player hasn’t been given a genuine opportunity by the club yet, which has caused him to regress when it comes to his match fitness.

What did Rio Ferdinand say?

This caused Rio Ferdinand to be confused as he made the admission. In addition to this, Ferdinand continued by saying that if he were Casemiro, then he would undoubtedly feel insulted by the way things have progressed up to this point.

“The geezer (Casemiro) hasn’t been given a chance. He hasn’t been given a fair crack of the whip. He’s come in and played in a Europa League game against some dead team. ‘He hasn’t been given a start in the side when he’s fit and ready, he’s regressed in terms of fitness, so he’s worse off than when he came,” Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel FIVE.

“He must be sitting there and thinking; ‘Wow, I’m happy to be here at Manchester United, but I’m feeling a little bit disrespected here, given what I’ve done’. I’d be surprised if he’s not feeling like that,” he added.
