A New Hope Arrives For Manchester United As Their Pursuit Of A World-Class Coach Continues

Manchester United sees a slender ray of hope: With Roman Abramovich sanctioned by the UK government, the offing of the Blues is hanging in the balance as the club faces a precarious future and whenever there is chaos the spoils have been overtly bloated and the hounding is way more than you can ever expect. As Chelsea stares at a cold and hard winter, Manchester United has already expressed their interest in bringing Thomas Tuchel to the fore.

The UK government sanctioned Abramovich, quoting the fact that he is “associated with a person who is/has been involved in destabilizing Ukraine and undermining/threatening territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, namely Vladimir Putin, with whom (he) has had close relationship for decades.”

Why can Manchester United be hopeful?

Given the result of this sanction, Abramovich can no longer go forth with the selling of Chelsea as his assets have been frozen. The club won’t be able to sell tickets for matches or any merchandise either.

Currently, the club is stuck in a state of limbo as it cannot do anything significant that help the club buy or sell any players.

As the mandate dictates, no new offers can be placed ahead of the players who are running short of contracts at the end of this summer. Given the fact that contracts of Cesar Azpiculeta, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen will be running out by the end of the season, Tuchel will be stuck in an unprecedented situation.

Manchester United’s hunt for a new manager continues who would be taking up the role permanently and the two leading contenders for the job are Mauricio Pochettino and Eric Ten Hag. However, with the veil of uncertainty looming larger than ever over the head of Chelsea, United may very well be inclined towards swooping in Thomas Tuchel who has savoured far more success than the other two.

Manchester United’s football director John Murtough has quoted in the boldest warnings, “We are now conducting a thorough process for the appointment of a new permanent manager who will take charge this summer, with the objective to get us back to challenging for those domestic and European titles.”

Manchester United will be engaged in a Premier League encounter on Saturday as the hunt for fourth place continues.
